Distance: ca. 18 km - Riding time: ca. 2 hours
The tour begins directly from the hotel. We go to Selva and by the hotel Oswald we turn left.
The route out of the valley mainly follows the left bank of the Gardena River It begins on beautiful woodland and meadow paths directly along the brook and later between Santa Christina and Ortisei on tarmac secondary roads with hardly any traffic. In this way you arrive at the promenade in Ortisei with almost no increase in altitude difference.
At the valley station of the Alp of Siusi cable car you turn right, cross the main road via the pedestrian bridge and reach the centre of the village. From now on it is only uphill. Altogether, it is a good 450 meters difference in altitude to Selva, but the incline is very moderate and makes for a fantastic ride. Shortly before Santa Christina you come across La Poza, a small village behind Santa Christina, on the section you already know from the way there and that you now take in the opposite direction. The route changes there again to the other side of the valley and follows the old, abandoned railway line that has been converted to a cycle path, back to Selva.

THE OLDEST CHURCH IN GARDENA VALLEY

The tour begins directly from the hotel. We go to direction Selva and take the road right to the centre.
You then follow the more heavily trafficked pass road for just under 2.5 kilometres to Plan de Gralba. The less than 200 metres of altitude difference are quickly covered, and from Plan de Gralba the ascent is noticeably steeper, always in the direction of the Sella Pass. At first the path runs along a gravel road, but then in the upper part it turns into a wonderful narrow trail with some narrow serpentines. Here you can already see the lower foothills of the stone city. All of this is rideable for good bikers with sufficient stamina. If you want to or have to descend, you can already enjoy the impressive view of the steeply towering Sassolungo. From the car park of the gondola to the Forcella Sassolungo, the only slightly ascending path begins right through the stone city "Città dei Sassi". Here you should drive slowly anyway and marvel at the stone witnesses of a rock fall from the Sassolungo several centuries ago in their many forms. The following descent begins with a super trail in the shadow of the Sassolungo. Behind the Rifugio Comici, the route then descends. It's good that the rest of the way to Wolkenstein is almost all downhill. Caution: The varied descent branches off into an inconspicuous path, which you are guaranteed to miss if you don't look carefully at the roadbook or GPS device (waypoint 36). Somewhat surprisingly, there is another 50 metres of ascent before La Selva, but then you roll back to GRANVARA® Relais & SPA Hotel relaxed and happy.

This panoramic tour of the Siusi Alp promises stunning mountain views without any great effort. The tour begins directly from the hotel.
We go direction to Selva and on the main road we turn left. The route out of the valley mainly follows alongside Gardena River at first nearly always only downhill as far as Ortisei. Here we take the Alpe di Siusi cable car. Just a few minutes later you reach the highest point of the tour at almost 2,000m above sea level. Already here at the mountain station you are in the midst of the most beautiful panorama of the Dolomite Mountains. The view of the Sciliar, Sassolungo and Sassopiatto mountains cast no doubts on the name given to this tour.
The view of the Sciliar, Sassolungo and Sassopiatto mountains cast no doubts on the name given to this tour. An easy descent on gravel with a subsequent ride on tarmac goes till a cross. There take the way left to Saltria. There then comes the only climb of the tour worthy of mention on the gravel road leading to Monte Pana. With the Sassolungo and Sassopiatto mountains right under your nose these 170m of difference in altitude are also quickly completed. From now onwards the slope is almost only downhill. From Monte Pana to Ciaslat on the way no 30B you roll back to the hotel.
